Functie:
Het monohydraat van het atropinesulfaat is een alkaloïde, oorspronkelijk van Atropa wolfskers, maar gevonden in andere installaties, hoofdzakelijk SOLANACEAE. Hyoscyamine is 3 (S) - endoisomeer van atropine.
Het atropinesulfaat is het sulfaatzout van atropine, een naturally-occurring alkaloïde van de installatieatropa wolfskers wordt geïsoleerd die. De atropine functioneert als sympathieke, concurrerende antagonist van muscarinic cholinergic receptoren, daardoor afschaffend de gevolgen van parasympathetic stimulatie. Deze agent kan hartkloppingen veroorzaken, afscheidingen remmen, en vlotte spieren ontspannen.
